Queries

Do I need to be a Shopify Partner to register?

Yes, to attend Editions.dev, you must have an active partner account. You can find your partner ID in the Partner Dashboard on the Settings page under the Account Information section. This ID will be required in the registration form. Tickets purchased with an invalid partner ID will be refunded. For more information on becoming a partner, please visit our website.

Do I need to be able to code to get the full event experience?

Editions.dev is our annual event for our partner ecosystem. The event, like Shopify, is product first and technical in nature but this year, we've added even more content built for the sales, business development, and marketing leaders in our ecosystem. Just purchase the ticket that aligns best with what you do: Dev Mode or Biz Mode.

How do I know which ticket type to purchase?

Both tickets provide full access to Editions.dev, but we recommend those in technical roles purchase a Dev Mode ticket and decision-makers in sales and marketing purchase a Biz Mode ticket.

I’m a technical founder interested in accessing business growth content. Which ticket should I purchase?

As a technical founder, we recommend purchasing the Dev Mode ticket. With this ticket, you'll have access to growth content specifically designed for developers, ensuring you receive the most relevant information and insights.

What does the ticket price include?

The ticket price covers full access to a day of live, in-person programming, including keynotes, product demos, and workshops, as well as complimentary breakfast, lunch, all-day snacks, and a closing reception to wrap up the day. Additionally, it includes an invitation to a welcome party on May 29.

Will the event span two entire days?

Editions.dev will kick off with a welcome party on the evening of Thursday, May 29 and will feature a full day of content on Friday, May 30. Stay tuned for more details.

Where is Editions.dev taking place?

The venue location is the Automotive Building at 105 Prince's Blvd, Toronto, ON, M6K 3C3.

What if I need a visa to travel to Editions.dev?

If you're planning to attend Editions.dev, please ensure you check if a visa is required and arrange it independently. More information can be found on the Government of Canada website.

If you require a letter of invitation for your visa application, first register for Editions.dev, then fill out this form. We will be in touch shortly after.

Please be aware that Shopify cannot engage with Canadian immigration on your behalf.

Do you have any discounted rates for travel?

Yes, we’ve arranged discounted rates with Air Canada, VIA Rail, GO Transit, and UP Express. You’ll find detailed information in your confirmation email after purchasing your ticket.

What are the accessibility options at the venue?

Shopify is committed to making Editions.dev accessible and welcoming for everyone. The venue provides elevator and escalator access throughout the building. If you have any additional accommodation requests, please reach out to editions.dev@shopify.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Will there be a schedule / event agenda published?

Yes, a detailed schedule and event agenda will be available. Stay tuned; more details will be shared as we get closer to the event date.

Can you provide the start and end times of the event so that we can arrange travel?

You can expect welcome parties to kick off in the early evening on Thursday, May 29. On Friday, May 30, doors open early for breakfast, with programming running until the closing reception around 5 PM. Stay tuned for a more detailed schedule as the date approaches!

What activations are happening before / after?

Join us and your fellow devs for a celebratory kickoff party on May 29 - more details to come! And stay tuned for news about partner-hosted meetups taking place around the main Editions.dev event.

I'm seeing an error when I purchase a ticket, what should I do?

If you're experiencing technical issues with the Editions.dev registration site, please email us at editions.dev@shopify.com.

I need a tax invoice, how can I get this?

You can download a tax invoice or receipt from your confirmation email once you purchase your ticket. If you need further assistance, please email editions.dev@shopify.com.

Can I modify or cancel my registration?

Tickets are non-refundable. However, if unforeseen circumstances arise, such as government-imposed travel restrictions, we may consider issuing a refund upon receiving appropriate documentation. You can transfer tickets until May 22. Please note that transfers can only be made within the same organization and within the same category: Biz Mode to Biz Mode and Dev Mode to Dev Mode.
