Yes, to attend DotDev you must have an active partner account. You can find your partner ID in Partner Dashboard by navigating to Settings > Account Information. Not a partner yet? Get started here.

DotDev is built for the developers and agencies building on Shopify. The event is technical and product-first, with go-to-market content for those focused on growing and scaling their Shopify business.

Each partner organization can purchase up to 6 tickets.

Your ticket includes full access to two days of live, in-person programming, plus breakfast, lunch, and all-day snacks. You'll also get access to an after-hours event on night one and our first-ever block party on night two.

Single-day tickets are not available. Your ticket covers the full two days.

Yes, you can transfer your ticket up until June 26, 2026.

1. Open your ticket confirmation email and click "View your ticket"
2. Enter the recipient's name and email address and click "Update ticket details"
3. The recipient will automatically receive an email with their ticket

Note: Once transferred, your original ticket is no longer valid.

No, tickets are tied to the registered attendee and cannot be shared or transferred once the event starts.

You can't cancel your ticket, but you can transfer it to someone else up until June 26, 2026.

If you're planning to attend DotDev, please ensure you check if a visa is required and arrange it independently. More information can be found on the Government of Canada website. If you require a letter of invitation for your visa application, register for DotDev, then fill out this form. We will be in touch shortly after. The DotDev experience includes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that attendees can connect to from AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or VS Code. It helps attendees discover sessions, navigate the venue, and connect with other attendees.

By opting in, the following information from your registration will be made  available to all DotDev attendees through this tool:

• First name and last name
• Company name
• Job title
• Country
• Partner type (e.g. agency, app developer)
• Topics of interest

This data is used solely for attendee networking at DotDev and will not be used to train AI models. Learn more in Shopify's Privacy Policy.

You will be able to opt in during registration as well as afterwards by updating your ticket details. 

To update: 

1. Open your ticket confirmation email and click "View your ticket"
2. Select "Yes" in the Dev MCP opt-in field
3. Click "Update ticket details”.
